Join psychic medium, Thomas John in Oaxaca – Mexico’s artistic heartland on an exclusive
tour and experience the magical traditions of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) practiced
for centuries by the indigenous people of Oaxaca.  Dia de los Muertos is centered on the
ancient Aztec belief that death is not the end of life but a passage to another realm where
the souls of the departed exist.

Every year Oct. 31 – Nov 2, the spirits of departed loved ones are honored as they return
home to visit. The preparations are woven into cooking special foods, homemade mescal (the
famous drink made from agave plants) creating elaborate altars (offrendas) of flowers, food,

ornaments, pictures and favorite objects of the departed.  At night thousands of candles are placed on beautifully
decorated graves to illuminate the dark for the loved ones return as the family prays and sings. This is a happy
time of love, laughter, music, celebration and the energy of this occasion is awesome.

Oaxaca City, with lovely tree-shaded streets is one of Mexico’s most captivating towns and a UNESCO historic land-
mark. Traditional life here still includes the use of natural foods, healing treatments and a close spiritual connection
with their ancestors in the spirit world.  Oaxaca City offers visitors splendid colonial architecture, wonderful
museums, a dynamic zocalo (town square) a variety of incredible food and fascinating markets. Near the city are
some of Mexico's most impressive archaeological sacred sites, including Monte Alban and Mitla known as “place of
the dead or underworld”.

This trip will offer a balance of cultural experience introducing you to the traditional life of present day Zapotecs.
Spend each day with Thomas John exploring ancient sacred sites, small artisan villages and local markets. Thomas
will facilitate several sessions of focused group time for messages “from departed loved ones on the other side”
while allowing space for integration, relaxation, and creative response. Thomas will be available for one-on-one
personal questions as time permits during the tour. Join Thomas John and invite your departed loved ones to join
